Starting Term 1, 2026, this is a full-time position. The successful candidate will have experience the co-ordination, organisation and administration of pastoral care and wellbeing programs. They lead a team of mentors to effectively deliver the School鈥檚 wellbeing priorities. This is an on-going position with the School, with a 6-month probation period.

Job tasks and responsibilities:
The Director of Student Development and Wellbeing is responsible for the coordination, organisation, and administration of the School鈥檚 pastoral care and wellbeing programs. This includes leading a team of mentors to implement the School鈥檚 wellbeing priorities and ensuring a consistent, proactive approach to student welfare across all year levels. The role also involves chairing the High School Students at Educational Risk (SAER) Committee, which oversees early identification, intervention, and ongoing support for students with additional academic, social, or emotional needs.
The role includes a 0.4 FTE teaching load.

Selection Criteria:
- Proven leadership in managing staff teams and delivering whole-school wellbeing and pastoral care programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in student wellbeing frameworks, social鈥揺motional learning, and behaviour management.
- Highly developed organisational skills, including program coordination, event delivery, and policy implementation.
- Ability to identify and support students at risk through early intervention, conflict resolution, and targeted strategies.
- Experience in fostering student leadership, positive school culture, and respectful relationships.
- Exhibit genuine care and compassion for students.
- TRBWA accreditation to teach in a WA school.
- WWCC clearance
